On Christmas Eve

While everyone was out doing last minute Christmas shopping,or some putting on their Santa hats or reindeer horns for fun,and others were gathered by the table for their Christmas Eve's family dinner,my sweet little doctor friend,Yaya, got herself hitched to the love of her life. And I was there to witness the moment.

The beautiful bride.

Actually, there wasn't much to elaborate here.Zack and Yaya have known each other and been together for so long, and everyone around had always knew that they would end up together.Years and years of tough long distance relationship, but still, they made it through.I'm more than impressed =)

Match made higher than heaven.

It was an intimate little solemnization ceremony back at the bride's beautiful place in Bangi, attended by relatives, neighbours and friends. With only a single lafaz,Yaya was legally married to Zack.It was a magical and breathtaking moment for both of them.Again, like I said, there wasn't much to describe here. They're just so divine!

So,just enjoy the pictures taken here.

Yaya's dad did the honor of menikahkan (crap!I have no idea what it stands for in English!) her own daughter to Zack.

Upacara membatalkan air sembahyang.

Lovely,lovely couple.

With the invited Fightersz.

And,lastly, what's a wedding without both of us? ;D

To Zack and Yaya, good luck in embarking into a whole different new life with each other.Keep the relationship even stronger than before and hope to hear very good news from both of you in a month or two (?) from now =D

2012's Resolution - Being Lovely

It's 15 days away til the major life changing countdown.I've managed to make a hell of a list on resolutions for the shiny new year...and they all went down to..

BEING LOVELY
Less of Hilton,More of Hepburn

The word lovely is subjective. Therefore,I'll break down the major contents of loveliness, according to none other than my personal role model,Audrey Hepburn.Well, she didn't actually classify herself as a lovely woman,as she was way too modest to admit that, but others (including myself,of course) see her as the irreplaceable golden lovely girl.

It would be naive to think that I could ever be exactly identical to the wise, elegant, and beautiful Audrey Hepburn as we were all born different and live in a different world now.But there are no harms of projecting her greatest attributes for the future generation (particularly mine and your daughters/granddaughters) to seek and look upon as examples.Clearly,I can't rely on the girls splashed across the pages in Mangga or URTV (most probably posing next to the pool) to hold up our feminine honor and reputation.I'm obliged to alter some of my character measurements to be a qualified role model, while hoping for my fellow sisters out there to join in.And may we all together be LOVELY =)

In order to achieve the target of loveliness, here are the key points that I need to work on :

*Believe others come first
- listen effectively, and keep your mouth shut.Know the right time to talk.
- practice empathicalism (like Hepburn did in Funny Face)
- respect wishes and personal choices of others.

*Impeccable in appearance and generous with smile
- consider that it is rude to go out in home attire and unmade face.
- feel graceful with good body language and posture.
- have positivity that my smile will be returned.

*Be gracious and kind
- assume the best of people (even if I know that person dislikes me).
- give and accept compliments genuinely.
- offer a helping hand to those who are in need.
- believe that manners are fabulous and class is sexy.

*Have a balanced life with values intact
- never too busy for my family, loved ones, friends and pets (Cat & Polly ;D).
- prioritize and keep things simple and untangled.
- passionate about everything I do.

Phew! One heck of a list huh?

I'll try my very best to ace all of the above like I've always aced my Japanese language tests back in high school (coz that was the only subject I adored).I might not have problems on getting some done, coz they might be strong natural values inside of me,perhaps a matter of improvising them. But as for the rest that I don't really have,I'll obtain them little by little til I finally learnt, loved and lived with them.

It is such a shame that a woman of class, charm, style and heart like Audrey Hepburn no longer existed to watch the world continue to lose its luster as outspoken,bitchy,self-centered,and snobby women rule the streets, homes and work place. She'll just die again! = P I hope it is still possible for young women, including myself, to maintain traditional virtues in this modern world, irregardless of their status.

So,'being lovely' is my big resolution for the new year. What are yours? =)

P/S: Miss Hilton, you could have dressed like Holly Golightly in a spread, but you're not even close to being lovely like Miss Hepburn.

Cleansing Goodness

Tuesday night,an off day night after long hours of flying for the past few days.

It is a pleasure being home, doing absolutely nothing but my Macbook on the lap,and comfortably cozy in my jammies. If I have a sister,I would have organized a pillow talk session or a mini slumber party in the room, doing each other's nails or talk about boys.Too bad the only sibling I have is a football watching,Playstation worshiping, and anime loving younger brother, who's peuw peuw-ing on the jerky controller in front of the big flat screen.

Fortunately,I have YOU,adorable readers,to talk and share girly informations with tonight!Well, technically. And totally one sided,I must say =P

So,pretty ladies!Put on those jammies and join me on my royal bed..

Excuse the clarity. It was taken via Macbook's webcam.

Since the early of my existence til now,I've always dreamed of having doll-like features and complexion. As I looked at my Barbie dolls,I wished that I would grow up looking like them; big eyes, full lips, lustrous hair, lanky figures, long toned legs and flawless porcelain complexion.I mean who doesn't?Apparently,my wish never came true, but Alhamdulillah. At least I grew up looking decent enough to capture a dreamy Ken's heart (that's you Sweetie Pie ;D)!

Anyway,we are who we are,no matter how we look like.We are blessed with unique features of our own for reasons we won't know,or eventually will know.We shall not change any tiny bit of them, but of course,we can always enhance the beauty or overcome the flaws naturally, into getting them to look absolutely stunning.Enhancing and improving the 'canvas' are indirect ways of showing gratitude to our Mighty Creator for what we have now.

Recently,I've just discovered the true beauty of cleansing.I've always considered cleansing as the most vital part in our beauty regime,so did toning and moisturizing. But have you ever wondered how the results of a clean,beautiful,fresh,zit-less skin like shown on TV commercials or as promised on the label of cleansing products can be achieved?Well, after 11 years of cleansing my face with various cleansers,I finally got it.A desired result, which varies (less oily/no acnes/more moisture),can be achieved by soaking your face skin wet with warm water. Before, while, and after cleansing your face skin.

I've been suffering skin congestion, practically with teeny weeny oil seeds and zits, all my life. They would be  gone after a session of facial treatment and would make their grand comeback a month after that. They were too stubborn to leave my face skin alone!I could always make monthly visits to the beauty salon to get rid of them, but at the same time,I would create 1001 reasons to avoid the visits.I'm a major bum when it comes to hair and beauty salon visits, and I'm very sure most of you are already aware of that =P

So,my miracle two-word solution was warm water. All this while,I've never considered on cleansing my face with warm water to complement the facial cleanser until this particular article in a magazine suggested that we steamed our faces before lathering the skin with cleanser. And the skin were to be steamed again before the toning and moisturizing process began.Of course steaming would consume so much of our precious little time in the morning and evening,so I took the initiative to substitute steaming with soaking my face wet in warm water up to 10 times (until the skin felt dewy) before and after cleansing.

I've skipped toning the face skin for almost 5 years now and replaced it with serum application instead.Well,it wasn't an original idea of a beauty regime,I totally copied Jessica Alba's secret to beautiful skin which mentioned the skipping of toning process =P So right after rinsing the cleanser off with luke warm water (until the skin were dewy),it was advised to put on your beauty products (not makeup!) immediately on your skin as everything could easily be absorbed into the skin.

Just follow the steps above, and I can promise you that you'll achieve the desired result better than before. As easy as that eh?

Well,it is really up to the individual to create their own method of skin caring, but as long as you open up the pores before cleansing and close them back after (at least before putting on makeup),you're good to go.Proper cleansing, toning and moisturizing will also help your makeup to stay beautifully longer.Since I've managed to overcome the impurity problems on my facial skin with the right method of cleansing, the only flaw left to fix would be the fine lines and dark circles under my BIG GUNDU EYES.Oh just don't ask me what 'gundu' means and how to erase those nasty fine lines and dark circles.I don't have a freakin' slight idea!

Until the next beauty secret to be shared, good night lovely readers! =)

Books And Shoes

As  much as I love to catch up with my never ending issue of lacking of sleep and shopping craves during nightstops,I do fancy clicking on stranger channels, beyond similar from those we have on Astro.Sometimes it's fascinating to get to watch unfamiliar TV programs, regardless if they're old or new.

Earlier yesterday,1 of the episodes of Spin City viewed at Australia's GO! channel caught my attention, and made me burst into laughter!I hope you guys still remember Spin City and its main star,Michael J. Fox (the Back To The Future guy yang tak berape cukup tinggi tu?Ring any bells?).There was this part when a family was having dinner and invited MJ Fox along as he was the employer of the daughter.

Daughter : Mom,dad..I wanna move out.I wanna live on my own in the city.
*Dad freaked out*
Dad         : What?But why?!You want a bigger room?You'll get gran's room....in another few years!
*Old granny looked confused but continued eating anyway*
*Audience at the studio laughed*
Daughter : Hey,help me out here!
*Daughter nudged MJ Fox who was very into the food served on the table*
MJ Fox    : What?Oh,right...More salt,Gran?
*Old granny looked confused again but took the salt anyway*
*Audience in the studio laughed*
Daughter : No!That was not what I meant!

Well,I found the scene very amusing as there were so much miscommunications involved there.Daughter wanted freedom, but daddy thought he wasn't providing enough.Daughter wanted her boss to back her up,but boss was too focused on dinner served and decided to help reduce the number of granny's living years. How hysterical!

So,the point I was trying to stress out here, that not everyone could understand each individual's needs.Like my vital need for good, entertaining books just as much as I need designer bags and shoes filling my closet. Some got it (like my parents and fiance) but some just didn't (like most of my fellow colleagues).

Although my most recent stay at Down Under was extremely short,I made a point to be an early riser, just to make time for book hunting before our wakeup call for flight at noon. When it's almost Christmas, good books will be released sparingly throughout the month.I would normally take the excellent opportunity to stock up my collection of books for my routine reading pleasure.Well,my crew members could hardly understand that and thought I was insane for sacrificing the rest time I had to get a few bloody books.

Lately,I've been seriously obsessed with self-help,relationship,style and beauty hand books. On the way back to KUL,flying as a dead head crew,I spent the whole 6 cruising hours digging my nose into the new books I purchased.

The books were too interesting that made the inflight headphone given meant for the IFE remained untouched.

While others just couldn't get how my feminine complicated brain worked,Sweetie Pie and Asha definitely got me.I've never received that many pair of shoes on a birthday before!Only 2 pairs of them, but both were super lovely! Not just some shoes, they were ballet flats (my absolute favourite type) from Stuart Weitzman and Coach =D

A girl like me couldn't ask for better presents.Thanks a bunch,guys!

Anyway,I've gotten over the birthday excitement and moving on as a 26 year old bum.Only the notorious wedding jitters have started creeping into my nerves slowly.Hope I'll make it through these last 2 months =P

That's all for now, folks.Have fun in the 1st week of December! =D

Happy Birthday,Scorpions!

"The beauty of a Scorpio woman is exceptional, mysterious and totally magnetic. She knows that and proud of herself. She knows how to hypnotize a man and gets successful, more often than not. With those beautiful, penetrating eyes of hers, she can read exactly what's on your mind.A Scorpio girl is extremely jealous and fiercely possessive of her loved ones.On the other hand, you'll have to control your jealousy, since she will be attracting a lot of members from the opposite sex.Determination and will power are her basic personality traits. She has a sense of fairness and justice.A Scorpio woman can drown you in her passion.Once you win her love, you will never be lonely again. You will always come back to a spotless home, radiating with the aura of her magnetic personality, the charm of her deep beauty, and the warmth of her everlasting love!"

No doubt that it is the month of the year when Scorpions rule the entire world. On every November, they age another year gracefully and spread their charm.Oh,don't be jealous!Everybody gets their turn to rule, right?

Everybody celebrates the fact that they're getting older in their own special way, including these 2 young Scorpions...

Since we both fancied Japanese cuisine,we started off our celebration that evening with dinner at a Tokyo Cuisine Restaurant called Ozeki.I normally dined at Ozeki with my parents during Ramadhan month,so taking my future sister-in-law to dine there,at the end of a November, was the first for me.Besides serving great Japanese food, with not-so reasonable prices I might add,I adored the ambience of the restaurant which was neither crowded nor noisy. It was definitely the right place to have intimate personal conversation between 2 or more people as most of the tables were separated by partitions.

It didn't seem fair to not introduce my future sis-in-law,Kak Aza,to my fellow blog readers, like I always did when new characters made their debuts on my previous posts. So here it goes.

Kak Aza is the elder beautiful sister of Sweetie Pie.She's married to a wonderful man we called Abg Nik and blessed with 4 witty rascals. Those rascals made their debut on my previous blog posts,so I'll just skip their introductions. She's an independent, strong Scorpio woman who has been raising her children with her bare 2 hands, without any help from a maid. She's a full time dedicated housewife and my personal close friend =)

I was quite glad that Kak Aza loved the selection of food I ordered at Ozeki coz trust me,I'm hardly a good judge when it comes to the level of tastiness of food.I'd eventually say 'Great' to food that should make their grand entrance to the dustbin and 'Ok' to those which should be awarded with 5 gold stars.I guess it also indirectly explained why I was never good in the kitchen too =P

After there was nothing left to be munched on the sashimi and beef carpaccio plates,we left Jalan P.Ramlee and headed to Gardens,Midvalley. We have decided on a movie to watch and purchased the tickets online.Well actually,it was more like I have decided on the perfect movie to watch while Kak Aza just agreed =P I've been wanting to watch the final sequel of the Twilight Sagas since it premiered on the 24th and I was lucky enough that Kak Aza actually followed the saga too.Not religiously of course, unlike myself.

Signature's Gold Class hall was fully booked that night. Our seats were perfectly placed at the last row, with the greatest view of the screen.I couldn't afford to settle for an 'OK' view of screen with it comes to witnessing great acting by the object of my affection,Robert Pattinson.Well,I believe there's no need to elaborate more on that as most of you might already aware of my crazy obsession towards Rob Pattinson by now =P

Both of us were getting comfy on the huge seats.

Overall,Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part 1 was satisfactory.Hardly has action, but emotionally touching til I could see tears watering Kak Aza's big eyes.Hehehe.Coz they vaguely watered mine too ='( They pictured Bella's wedding, pregnancy and death perfectly, just like in the book.Oh and the soundtracks were breathtaking!I loved the fact that they recycled the tracks from Twilight. Now,I just couldn't wait for Part 2 to be shown next year as I'd be the first standing in the ticket line.

To Pear,if you ever need companion to watch Breaking Dawn,I'd be more than willing to go watch the movie for the 2nd time and drool over the entire magical intimate moments between Edward and Bella ;D

So there were no cakes or candles to be blown, but Kak Aza and I were capably happy with our own idea of a birthday celebration. We had a great time blowing our minds with internal gossips and sharing of personal experiences.Well,a Scorpio should definitely learn as much as she can about life from another fellow mature Scorpio.Afterall,we both sting to survive!

I'm guessing that you folks have started enjoying your lovely long weekend with lists of plans.I'll be stucked waiting by the phone to be called for next available flight til the end of the month, but it's alright.Hope I'll have better luck next time.Have fun & good night for now =)

Date Of The Year

Marriage is like a sorority in college that every student (mostly girls) are desperately hoping to pledge. Those who are lucky enough to have found their soulmates are most likely to be planning to be married, while the rest are still struggling kissing their frogs, hoping them to magically transform into prince charming. Before marriage, there lies a wedding,a formal ritual of celebration of a marriage. And before a wedding, the desperate need of choosing the right date of the wedding sneaks in.

Fortunately,2011's 11th November fell perfectly on a glorious Friday. All to-be-married couples around the world grabbed hold of the date, wanting to make it special for themselves.Including my younger close cousin,Angah.

Angah's nikah ceremony took place at Rumah Limas Yayasan Warisan Johor in Johor Bahru. She was married to a football superstar of Johor FC team,Khairi, who's also known as Burut. As busy as I was,I managed to make a return trip to JB on that particular date to witness the merriment.

Tragic enough, everyone was on time for the ceremony except....for the celebrated bride herself.

The couple had decided to tie the knot after Isya' conducted by a well known veteran Imam, who was also committing himself to conduct 2 more akad nikah ceremony right after Angah & Burut's,so the Imam was present right on time at the venue.Burut arrived shortly after, but there was absolutely no sign of the bride.According to her sisters, the makeup artist came so late that he started dolling up the bride only during Maghrib. Can you imagine the hassle and rush?

By 8.30pm,the bride was still out of sight. We,ladies, have started to panic with sweat on our foreheads. The bride's family members kept calling her mobile but she kept saying she was on the way.The Imam couldn't wait any longer so he started the ritual without her.

Tok Imam was browsing through the legal documents,in an attempt to stall the ceremony while the bride was on the way there.
Just right before akad, the beautiful bride finally showed up.It was obvious that her hands were shaky, feeling extremely nervous.

Alhamdulillah, with only 1 attempt of lafaz from the groom, they were officially man and wife.It was a touching moment for me to see my younger cousin, who used to play lubang tikus and lompat getah with me when we were younger, had finally moved on to another phase of her life.

From the look on her face,we could tell that she was obviously very happy to be married to her soul mate.
Couldn't be happier for both of them =)
From the top (clockwise) : Burut,Ayah Long (father of bride),granny,Angah, myself,Balqis (younger sister of bride),Ika (youngest sister of bride),and Kak Huda (eldest sister of bride).

Well, the theme for Angah's nikah ceremony was Arabic so all guests were encouraged to wear kaftans or jubahs.I managed to find a kaftan for myself just a few days before the ceremony as I'm hardly a fan of either kaftans or jubahs. But it seemed to be unfair that neither of the gentlemen were found to be wearing jubahs including the groom himself.I guess themes were meant for the ladies to obey to,but not gentlemen =P

Anyway, after wishing the lovely couple the best of luck in their marriage and bid farewell,Sweetie Pie and I made our way back to KL and had to resist the temptation of attending the couple's dinner reception the next day,due to work commitments. But I was glad with the fact that I managed to witness the couple's memorable sacred moment of officially committing themselves to being man and wife.It was priceless.

Before I go,again,I would like to wish Angah and Burut 'Selamat Pengantin Baru' and make me an aunt a.s.a.p.!Hehe =D

Goodnight folks.

Shanghai Horror

Hotel rooms can be terrifying. This comes from a girl who never fails to sleep with the lights and TV on,when alone in her hotel room, during nightstops at every single station.Since 2004,I might add.But nothing's more frightening than the prospect of being disturbed even before you get to feel the bed.

Alright, before we get to the heavy stuffs, lets rewind a few hours before. As soon as we landed in Shanghai that Friday afternoon,a few of us planned to hit the famous shopping district in Shanghai,Nanjing Road, just right before dinner time.At Nanjing Road,I managed to restrain myself from spending on the desirable unnecessaries and had fun watching the rest clearing their pockets.

As for the usual routine of nightstop in Shanghai,it was always a Mongolian treat right after shopping, then finally back to the hotel. But that night,we modified the routine and headed towards a new happening halal Indonesian restaurant not far from our hotel. It was called the Bali Bistro.

The dishes were not that bad.Tasty but I regretted ordering its ayam penyet. Some might aware of how critical my intolerance towards spicy food was and still is,but not this company. The 3 of them practically laughed on how I reacted towards the incredibly spicy ayam penyet and how I desperately gasped for air after tasting it.

Stewardess Janny,Co-pilot Farez,myself & steward Faidz.

Since I was bloated with glasses of water and not even full yet,I dragged them to our usual eating spot in Shanghai,a Mongolian restaurant for some juicy lamb skewers. We didn't actually sat there and ate,we walked and ate, enjoying Shanghai's night air.

Fun was over so it was time to hit the sacks. Before we went out earlier, all I have time for was changing into my casual attire and let my hair loose off the croissant while in the room.As I reached my room after dinner, usually the 1st thing I would do was turning on the TV,so I did.It happened that the TV's volume was at its maximum,99,and it blasted loudly as if the previous guest had organized a party in there!I quickly turned the volume down using its remote but it took me awhile to figure out which were the volume buttons as everything on the remote was scribbled in Chinese. Then the volume slowly went down from 99 to 50 and below, but as it reached number 30++,it automatically went up to 99 again eventhough I was clicking the minus button!I kept on clicking the minus button, panic with the extremely loud sound but it wouldn't budge!

I continued doing whatever that crossed my mind such as knocking the remote by the desk and chair to make it work again, but that big freaking number 99 was there on the screen,as if it was challenging me on a duel!Running out of idea on how to turn down the volume,I switched off the TV immediately and called front desk to send a technician up to my room.

The technician that came up hardly spoke English,so he just nodded his head as I told him what happened to the remote that wouldn't obey me.When he turned on the TV,of course as expected, the volume was still at 99 and with just 1 attempt, the technician managed to turn the volume down using the remote. It magically obeyed him without question. The technician tested the remote further by clicking other buttons as well, and it looked like it didn't need a knock on the desk or chair. The technician gave me a funny smirk and passed me the remote, and of course, the remote worked pretty well.

By 11pm,I already had garfield eyes as a sign I couldn't stay up longer.I fell in a deep sleep, with the lights and TV on,just the way I loved it.But guess what happened at 2am?

I was awaken by the sound coming from the TV and again...the freaky 99 was on the screen! The TV blasted so loudly that I almost had a heart attack when waking up.I searched for the remote around me,guessing that I've accidentally turned up the volume while sleeping, but to my dismay,it was perfectly placed NEXT to the TV,ON the TV rack, totally OUT of my reach, where the technician placed it last! Can you believe that?!I got even more stressful when the remote decided not to obey me again.I kept on clicking on the minus button but nothing worked!I quickly approached the TV to look for its manual button somewhere around its frame and finally, that manual button obeyed me.Pheww!!

As I crawled back into bed,the hairs on the back of my neck all stood up.The room felt colder and suddenly,it occurred to me that the warning given by a fellow colleague was absolutely relevant. She told me her spooky experience in a particular room at our hotel in Shanghai while she was nightstopping there a few weeks ago.She was disturbed by the flickering of her bed lamp at 3am & when she decided to freshen up in the bathroom,it was locked from the inside.Panic, she called the the front desk to send someone to check it out after a few attempts of trying to turn the knob. But as the attendants arrived at the room, with just 1 attempt, the bathroom door was opened and obviously unlocked.

As the flashes of her story was playing on my mind, suddenly my window was tapped. When I turned to look at the window, the tapping stopped, but as I tried to shove myself under the duvet, the tapping started again. After awhile, the tapping turned into knocking as if somebody out there was angry that I didn't bother checking it out.Only God knew how I felt at that moment,so I turned to God.With all the hairs at the back of my neck still standing up,I tapped the Yassin application on my iPhone and started reciting it.I recited it til it was finally 4am and all the tapping/knocking bullshit disappeared.I managed to tuck myself in and slept peacefully.

That night,I wasn't the only 1 haunted. It turned out that a supervisor of mine didn't get her sleep due to disturbances too.I didn't wana believe that our hotel accommodation in Shanghai was haunted coz we've been staying there for decades and nothing as such ever happened to any of us until recently. But at this point,I'm almost hoping there was a ghost in my hotel room.Otherwise,I was probably cuckoo.Out of my mind!

Well, the creep show didn't stop there at the hotel. There had been creepy shows on our flight back to KL itself. But this time it wasn't ghost, but very bad luck that followed us around.1st,our aircraft was grounded for 4 hours in Shanghai due to technical problems. We patiently waited til the engineers gave us the thumbs up for us to go.After we took off, there were incidents took place in the economy. An attention seeking passenger yelling at a crew in the cabin with his index finger pointing straight at the crew's face wasn't enough to create havoc.Adding up,a passenger collapsed on the cabin floor after he had his dinner. It was lucky that all of us were trained being first aiders in a medical emergency situation to attend the victim.Necessary aids were rendered to the victim before 2 medical doctors traveling as passengers on board came to help.It turned out the victim was suffering hyperglycemia, and suffocation due to poor ventilation in the cabin caused by passengers themselves.

Remember folks, when you travel on medium to long haul flights, avoid from shutting the air vents above your head off.The air vents help to ventilate proper oxygen in the cabin to inhale throughout the flight. If you folks feel cold, turn its direction away from you but don't ever shut it off.Wear a suitable attire when traveling to avoid uneasiness or lack of comfort while onboard. If a sleeveless shirt or mini skirts are your idea of comfort inflight, then don't push the freaking attendant button complaining that the cabin is too cold for you.

Okay, looking at the condition where I am home alone right now,I'm guessing it is enough of spooky stories for a day. Before I forget,Salam Aidil Adha to my family members, dearest Muslim friends and blog readers.Hope you've enjoyed your korban and continue to enjoy the public holiday tomorrow :)

Hollywood Moments in Hong Kong

Apparently, humor and irony IN my life are OUT this Fall.

Apart from not being able to wave my last goodbye to my parents before they got on the plane to Mecca for 3 whole weeks and not getting to celebrate Hari Raya Aidiladha this Sunday with the rest in Muar,I got called up to go for a flight of terror.Halloween's just around the corner,so I'm guessing irony is definitely lingering around somewhere =P

Last 3 days,I was on standby duty at home, confidently assuming that there would be no flights available to go to.Just a few minutes after my standby time started, the officers told me that I was needed on a flight to Hong Kong.Let me tell you folks something about flights to Hong Kong. Not just that it's simple and short haul, the crews also get to enjoy a day off in Hong Kong before flying back home.On top of that, the flight allowances are competitive, considering that it is only a 3 hour and 45 minutes flight.Hardly anyone will miss the chance of jumping onboard that flight.

At first,I thought I hit the jackpot by getting such flight during standby, until,I reached the flight management building to sign in for flight.I scrolled down the list of crew names on the screen of the computer, and there it was,......a name that made my 'luck' seemed a lot more sensible.I didn't hit a jackpot after all,it was more like hitting rock bottom.

A name that all of us dread off, especially the non-supervisory crews. She was the assigned In-Flight Supervisor of our Hong Kong flight. That 1 particular crew, whose place I was replacing on that flight definitely made the right decision to not show up.When onboard, every single of us was picked by her on undefined mistakes we made.I would say that she's the real 'Devil Wears Prada' of our airline.

To take my mind off my fear towards Ms Miranda Priestly during my off day in Hong Kong,I decided to go sightseeing, instead of doing the usual (shopping,of course!) with a fellow companion. We left the hotel to the city central as early as 9am with great plans on our mind.As we reached the central,we walked for almost 2 kilometers towards a famous tourist attraction in Hong Kong, the Peak Tram.On the way there,we stopped by a nearby park, right in front of IFC Mall,to eat our McDonald's breakfast takeout. While enjoying my scramble eggs,I was also wishing that I didn't pack my platform ankle boots for this Hong Kong flight. The fashionable, yet stupid self of mine ended up torturing my 2 precious feet with some extra weight the whole day =P

Loved the eggs but resented the adorable boots.

As we reached the Peak Tram, there was already an awful lot of people queueing to purchase tram tickets to get to the Peak.We managed to jump the long queue by getting combo tickets : Return Tram + Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum entry pass.Yes,they have Madame Tussaud's Wax museum in Hong Kong too!I've been to the 1 in London when I was younger, and remembered every second of the magical experience.I got to pose with the whole British Royal Family,Charlie Chaplin,Michael Jackson,Crocodile Dundee and other magnificent wax figures. But yesterday,I posed with a whole bunch of my personal idols!

The hill to be climbed towards the Peak was super steep, thank goodness for the comfy big tram.

Once we reached the Peak,we didn't waste any minute of our time and straight away raced towards the wax museum. We were welcomed by Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee's wax figures, but once we stepped in,our Hollywood moments started. It was like walking on a red carpet filled with Hollywood A-listers!Definitely a dream come true for an average Malaysian girl like me ;D

Bumped into the Aussie beauty,Nicole Kidman...
...the glamourous couple,Brangelina..
...the hunky vampire Robert Pattinson..
...Rob again..
...and Rob again!Okay,I'm obsessed with Rob,what are you gonna bout it? =P

Moving on to legendary icons of all time ;

Mr Will Shakespeare..I wanted his quill so I could write as good as him =D
The undeniable genius,Mr Albert Crazy Hair Einstein.
..And of course, the Lady whom I shared a name with,Diana..
...and the British Royal family.I was pretty sure I fit in just well among them =D
Obama a legend? Not quite sure bout that fact but I sure enjoyed being his secretary though ;)

Next were the walk of fame past golden Hollywood icons, present as well as in the past.Starting with....

My personal favourite idol,Audrey Hepburn!Had a lovely Breakfast at Tiffany with her =D
A flown full skirt moment with the golden girl,Ms Monroe.Yeah, there was a look-alike dress and wig provided for visitors to don.
Rock 'n' rolled with the King himself,Elvis Presley.
...and shared a mic with King of Pop,MJ.
They loved me,yeah,yeah,yeah.....;D

Apparently, not just Hollywood icons made it to the museum, but Bollywood as well!

Namaste,Mr Amitabh Bachan.

And not forgetting my favourite HUGE basketball player,

Couldn't you be anymore taller,Yao Ming?

Well,I took a few more pictures with other amazing celebrities such as Madonna,Lady Gaga, and Spiderman but I'm utterly exhausted to continue downloading more pictures. All I can think about right now are my fluffy pillows and a double mushroom swiss burger with large potion of french fries. But all I can afford to munch on right now is Milo cereals while hugging my fluffy pillows. It's raining cats and dogs outside, and there is no way I'm gonna soak myself wet just to get some burger and fries.

Anyway, now that the nightmare flight was over,I could sleep soundly tonight with hopes of not bumping into the devil who wears freaking Prada in my dreams or reality for that matter, ever again!

*Wonder what my parents could possibly be doing right now..Praying for their safety and accomplishment of getting Haji Mabrur at the end of their journey in Tanah Suci.Amin*

"West End" : The Musical Highlights - It's SHOWTIME!

I believed this was where I left you folks at from the previous post, just right before the ensembles were sent for hair and makeup. So there I was, getting my stage makeup done by a talented, yet hilarious makeup artist,KuYee.We have been reminded over and over again by the producers for not to complain about our makeup, hairdo or costumes.According to them, everything was in order and perfectly done NOT for us to look pretty, but for the audience to notice and enjoy.Quoting the artistic director,o"Regardless when you look in the mirror and see yourselves looking like a monkey,NEVER make any alterations for your own desired fit!Tonight is about looking good for the audience, not yourselves!" Brutal huh?

Unfortunately,my makeup did make me look like a monkey, upfront through the naked eyes. But under the spotlight and cameras,it made me look golden, like a real West End girl ;D So did the rest of us!

Now that everyone has a clearer picture on the musical numbers we were doing,it would be a lot easier for me to describe the details of the musical performances. With pictures,of course. Not that I have any picture taken while we were performing on stage -_-

This was the costume meant for the opening gambit of Go Go Joseph. Thanks to a dear friend/technical crew,Hafiz,we managed to snap this picture just right before we went up on stage.Boy,were we nervous!I could barely feel my legs!It was shaking with the thought of me going up stage and dance right in front,in the middle!I was the lead for this number (proud of me yet,Ayah & Ibu?) and trust me,I never volunteered to be one.The routine was tough and tricky.I could slip any minute and ruined the whole thing, but luckily,I didn't that night =)

This was the costume for our West End Trailer and again, this picture was taken just before I went up stage. When not asking Hafiz to snap the picture for me,I pulled him into the picture instead! The top hat I was wearing was awfully big for me.But it managed to stay on my little head as I was doing that sexy thang with my bootie to Lady Marmalade ;) Almost at the end of the trailer,I was responsible to be at the top of a pyramid and that night, the foundation of the pyramid was shaky (thanks to the guys!Huh!) so I fell off behind instead of the front of the pyramid! But nobody was hurt =)

Before.....
....and After.
We were the Dream Girls!I know right? The wigs looked crazy on us and we might as well should just be the lead roles in Priscilla Queen of The Desert being drag queens instead of Dream Girls!Despite the fact that the dresses made it hard for us to walk,I totally loved the details on them. They were so beautiful and glamourous! When will I ever wear another dress like this?!

Next,I should be displaying a picture of me in Mama Mia's costume but sad to say that I never got the chance to even feel its fabric in the 1st place. When it was given,we only had time to arrange it in order of its appearance.I was given to wear a pink knee length glittery dress, accessorized with pink silk gloves and a nuthead pink bob wig!You folks couldn't imagine how ridiculous I looked on stage with the pink wig!It wasn't just hideous, but it kept sticking into my mouth everytime I tossed and turned doing my dance routine! And the bangs were too long that it almost blocked the upper half of my eyes!Everytime I mentioned about the wig to Ibu,she just couldn't stop laughing and said that I looked totally cute in it!Cute was never good -_-

Moving on to Grease. We were the leading ladies of the musical number and didn't we look adorable in our '60s outfit? ;;) The full skirt, bow headband and white sunnies were just so me!Loving every moment of wearing that costume as it was the comfiest among the rest of other costumes. This picture was taken even before the whole show started so didn't even have lipstick on.I was happily twirling and prancing on stage to the beat of We Go Together from the musical Grease, and apparently the crowd cheered for this number the most!I bet most of them missed being young, fun and Grease-y =)
The guys of Grease were looking nerdier and cuter than ever =D

The Cha-cha girls of Copacabana Club!I absolutely have no way to describe this costume for Copacabana number. It was exquisite, sexy, glamourous and difficult to put on.There were velcros everywhere! But we all loved doing cha-chas,so the costume complement every of our movement.

As we were getting ready for the Finale in the changing room, suddenly we heard commotions out in the Grand Ballroom.People were cheering, screaming, whispering and clapping at the same time. For all we knew, the legendary David Foster and Michael Bolton attended our humble event!Out of nowhere,we heard Michael Bolton's husky voice singing 'When A Man Loves A Woman' on the microphone!I quickly ran backstage at peeped through the curtains and saw Michael Bolton performing, for real!My heart almost stopped!I've always loved to listen to Michael Bolton's songs when I was little, and that night, the man himself (with a short haircut now) was singing right in front of my eyes.According to the audience of the event,David Foster sat next to our producer of the event as he was playing his piano on stage =)

So,the night finally ended.Tears....tears...tears....

No words could describe how much I would miss the moments of being part of a so-called West End production. If I were to be excellent in acting, singing and dancing,I would've joined the real production in a heartbeat. But too bad,my fortes were and still are only dancing and smiling,so there I was, performing in a fake production of West End =P

I know I looked like The Joker in Batman in those red lips but I'll treasure this picture of Autumn,Abang Ahmad Kassan (choreographer) and I til the next project that will meet us again.

A million thanks to my wonderful parents who were willing to spare some of their time attending my big show night all suited up.Their attendance meant a lot more than I could ever imagine, even without their could-be-useful dslr =P

I don't know what's coming up next but I sure am ready to jump into another production anytime they need me.I'll keep my hopes high.

So til then folks,goodnight!
