Aotearoa!

Oh man, where do I even begin?

All of us just safely got home from our Aotearoa (New Zealand) family trip this morning! It sucks that we hafta switch our hats from holiday mode back to normal mode where all of us have responsibilities to attend to such as jobs.Yucks!=( But at least the weekends are coming and that also means we have approximately 2days to recover from jet lag.

Our flight to Auckland on MH was as smooth as silk. The day after,we started the trip by going shopping at Dressmart Outlets. It's a big shopping complex filled with factory outlet stores beginning with Ralph Lauren,Oroton,Forever New,Cue,Dotti,Nike and the list goes on.After a few new cardigans and tops being filled in the paper bags in our hands,we headed to gorgeous picturesque spots where we all could do what we always did best, camwhoring =D And 1 of our choices of spot was a volcanic peak called One Tree Hill.No doubt the famous TV series was named after it =P

One Tree Hill is an important memorial place for the Kiwis besides providing amazing views across Auckland.

Although the view from the top was mind blowing, the strength of the wind was unbearable. So we went down to the lower ground and started messing around with the cuties which fleeces were as white as snow. They were all over the place,as well as their droppings =P

Later that evening,we had a dinner invitation from 1 of Ayah's friends,a former Malaysian whom is a permanent resident of New Zealand for almost 2years now. They picked us up at our apartment on their SUV and brought us to a chic seafood restaurant called Squid Row.

Chic is the absolute perfect description for that restaurant as it was filled with chic Kiwis hanging around having dinner, cool furnitures, beautiful black and white posters of the '60s (or perhaps '70s) beach beauties surfing and sun-tanning under the sun all over the wall and dimly lit surrounding.

After few rounds of squids, calamari, mussels and oysters for appetizer and main course,we swore on our lives that we would never ever touch seafood for at least a month from now!It was too much, but nevertheless they were tasty as hell.

Since there are so much to tell,I'll hafta separate my Auckland trip reports into a few blog entries.Keep coming to ARRESted For Life, folks coz they are more to be shared! =D
